Dear God
So I know I don’t talk to you often, but seriously like…
Where has our summer gone? This weekend was the last summer bank holiday and I spent the time indoors staring out into murk and rain and water. I briefly considered building an ark but then realised a.) there are no animals I would want to save and b.) I don’t particularly want to be stuck on a boat with other people either.
This morning it looks bright and balmy but that’s absolutely NO HELP as I am stuck in a stuffy office.
So please God, get your finger out and give us at least ONE nice weekend this summer.
Yours,
a very bedraggled
Eli

The weather is a nightmare up here too. I can’t get a dry enough day to cut the grass. And I put down grass feed there in May…so now I have a proper meadow going. Just ONE DRY WEEKEND, just one. That’s all I want.
Taking a couple of weeks off soon, and the weather better get its act together in the meantime or I’m using the Droughtonator-5000 on it.
Then who’ll be sorry?

Oh, the joys you all bring to someone who’ll be moving to your little island group soon. Truly encouraging.
Was awfully tempted to reply as God … but figured there’d be smiting or brimstone or something. Does God often leave comments, by the way?

The sun has put his hat on here at last.
Nice piece.
