So it looks like November is going to be busier than I had thought. I’m not even going into the boring stuff like work, nor the fact that it’s the beginning of my Crucifixion year or anything remotely depressing like that.
Anyway on to the good stuff. First of course there is Nano which in itself will be a bitch as I haven’t even begun to think of possible plotlines. In addition, in a rare moment of insanity (quiet at the back there) I volunteered to be an ML for Dublin. Which means myself and Sorcha are responsible for arranging kick off parties, write-in’s and keeping morale up when people start lagging. To be honest though the write-in’s are a good idea, I didn’t go to any of them last year due to time and work stuff and found myself in severe straits by the 3rd week. Which didn’t happen in the first year. Also I hated my book last year. Hopefully this year I’ll be better.
In a rare moment of good luck I managed to snag myself a ticket for the Neil Gaiman appearance on RTE Radio 1’s Rattlebag (November 15th ring 208 2822 for tickets, they may have some left.) readers of my previous blog may remember my woeful fan-girl run-in with him two years ago, hopefully this year I won’t do him any damage. (Severe Jam or otherwise.)
There’s a couple of other good things coming up in November as well, outings and social events and suchlike and I’ve a healthy bank balance these days as well, finally getting back in the black. After almost a year of living like a pauper this is indeed a good thing.
